About the Ohio Credit Union League
The Ohio Credit Union League is proud to be the state trade association for Ohio’s credit unions. We make the daily lives of staff and volunteers easier through political and regulatory advocacy, compliance and information services, educational and professional development opportunities, communications, media relations, outreach solutions, and more.
Ohio’s 257 not-for-profit credit unions, like their counterparts nationwide, are committed to serving local communities by making financial services accessible and affordable. Credit unions are democratic, financial cooperatives, owned by their members. Credit unions’ boards of directors serve as volunteers, elected by members. Ohio credit unions serve 3.04 million members (1 in 4 Ohioans is a member), who have selected credit unions as their financial institution of choice. Credit unions proudly operate on the philosophy of “People Helping People.”
